Jaclyn has been using herbal tea for over 10 years to help heal the body & support a natural practice of self-care & wellness. Chronic illness in her teenage years, lack of support from the mainstream medical system, and worsening symptoms left her searching for answers in more natural & holistic medicine styles. Over the past few years, Jaclyn has dedicated her time to studying a variety of healing practices & incorporating herbal teas into a routine of self-care, diet management, and movement medicine. In order to share her passion for natural & holistic healing, Jaclyn opened The Deserted Forest Apothecary in 2020. Through the offerings provided in the apothecary, as well as educational workshops, online webinars, & in-person events, we now share our love of the plant allies with a wide range of people.

The Deserted Forest Apothecary is founded on the values of Service, Natural Healing, Wellness Education, & Community. We provide our public tea services on a no-cost, donation basis, never charging for a cup of tea. Our products are crafted with intention, to bring support to the body's natural healing abilities, as well as flavor & joy through the mind - body - spirit connection. Working in-person events allows us to bring a sense of community wherever we go, & we love seeing the smiling faces again & again of our communitea members. We also aim to educate the public on the benefits of using nature to aid in the body's core ability of healing. Through tea, other herbal remedies, movement practices, and proper nutrition we can clear the pathway for our body's own innate ability to heal.
